Ice company uses Thayer model “SB” Insertion Weight for batch
weighing ice for commercial fishing vessels at rates up to 30 TPH.
For 19 years this customer has used two Thayer “SB” Belt
Scale to accurately weigh out ice for commercial trade to fishing vessels.
The ice is produced, crushed and conveyed down a chute to the SB
Belt Scale surface.
Once on the scale the SB weighs the ice and feeds it to a rotary valve where
it is then pneumatically conveyed to the fishing vessels.
The unique design of the SB Belt scale allows it to function in a cold, wet,
and harsh environment.
