A major Fine Paper Products Company uses Thayer “RF” Belt Scales for precise weighing of light density wood chips.

Sixteen Thayer Belt Scales are used in various parts of the plant to weigh, and in some cases weigh and control, the flow of wood chips from the storage yard to the digestion and conversion to pulp areas of the plant. Some of these scales have been in operation for over twenty years.

At one point this customer tried at to use three belt scales from a different vendor. After chronic problems and difficulty in calibration, they were replaced with Thayer Belt Scales.
