A major Power Producer uses 12 Thayer Mega-Rate Model MH “Mega Slot” Feeders
to blend various grades of coal at rates of 2,000 tons per hour to meet clean
fuel requirements.
Installed in 1982, these 10 Model
MH-66 weigh belt feeders are still
running today. Originally designed to accurately meter and blend
various grades of coal at 1,000 tons per hour, they were re-rated
years later to 2,000 tons per hour with only a belt sprocket change
and no change in horse power.
