CAD Drafter/Detailer
Engineering has a position open for a full time mechanical CAD drafter/detailer. Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD drafting and have an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical School certificate. This person should have 1-3 years of machine design experience. Basic computer skills are essential along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. 

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager or other Engineers, process shop orders, Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s), provide support to R&D, and other related duties as required. These instructions may be in written or verbal form. Prepare working shop drawings for the fabrication of components through the use of standard and custom drawings.  Create all related documentation, bills of material, detail and assembly drawings, using accepted mechanical drafting standards, practices, and company procedures. Generate new parts and drawings in main database and use databases to retrieve data. Determine production techniques and implement into design details the appropriate finishes, tolerances, welding symbols, bend allowances and sheet metal development.  Perform some electrical drafting, usually that which is required to complement mechanical documentation.
